    Default Jeep Brake Pads

Been searching the forum and came up with nothing.
Anyone replaced their brake pads recently on a JK? Mine is a 2012 Sahara. Been looking around for brake pads but people say only at agents. I don't believe that really...or is it true? I'm sure there are other brands available. Any advice

    Thanks

I also called around for brake pads and so far it seems only Mopar available. If there's a alternative I would also like to know.

What is the dealers price? I almost fell over when I wanted to buy pads for the Jimny and the dealers quoted me R1800 just for the pads.

Bought my front pads at Tiger Wheel and Tyre for R1500, then bought the rear pads for R1200 from Autozone. Very easy to replace yourself.

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes.

That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

I pay R1500 at the dealer, then why go to TWT?

I have the older JKUR, 3.8L, I paid something like R575 for my front brake pads and something like R475 for my rear pads (or visa versa) at Midas.
Cant remember the brand name, but they are doing just fine and wearing out as any other pad seems to be wearing, they stop just as good as my previous pads (agents) and it takes like 20mins to install the front and 20mins the rear yourself, the worst part is jacking up your Jeep and removing the wheels. It is an easy peezy lemon squeezy job

    Front FDB 4074
    Rear FDB 4239

these are ferodo part numbers which everywhere in SA uses them, they can cross reference to other brands. but the ferodos in these part numbers are the ones made in the states.
