i was able to secure 3 of the 9 ORRA frequencies for use in Namibia.

    they are:
    ORRA 1
    ORRA 2
    ORRA 5

If you have a ORRA radio in your vehicle or a handheld you need a valid CRAN license to operate the radio.

    the good news:
you do not have to apply for a spectrum usage license, just send me a PM or a mail and i will send you a copy of the license and a letter stating that i give you permission to use the frequencies per e-mail.

EDIT: Please include you full name, passport number, approximate dates of your stay and your E-Mail address (needed for the letter)

this service is free to all forum members.

please do not use any of the other ORRA frequencies as they are licensed by other entities and will cause interference and possible intervention from the authorities.
Thanks Kavanji we are planning for a trip with Johan Badenhorst from Voetspore up to Rusticana Namibia in mid/end November this year & would like to use our own radios i did not follow up with Johan but think they would also so the radio paperwork on their sidw but would rather be double shure as we will be going alone & will only meet the team in Rusticana

Hi I would like to take you up on your license offer.
I'm just going to be in transit through Namibia in August as we are going to Angola.

If you would be so kind and send me your Email address to [email protected] I will forward the relevant information.
