    Default Pajero 3.5 v6 2006 SWB

    Good day

I am looking to buy a Pajero 3.5 v6 2006 SWB from a friend that is immigrating.
I know the car has been kept well and service regularly.

I would like to ask users/community on experience on this car?
What should I look out for?
Is it a good buy for a 4x4?
Is the fuel usage really bad?
it is standard what upgrades will be best/ required?

    Thanks

If it is a 2006 it should be a 3.8.

If the price is right, take it! Plan your journeys, then fuel use shouldn't be such an issue. That said, expect average to be around 16 l/100 km...

The price is good as he only wants what he still owns.
It has 190K on the clock, is that a lot for such motor?

If properly maintained, that's just nicely run in.

I depends on how you drive it.

If you race it like a racing car, you will get about 16L/100km or worse..

If you drive like a normal person, you can easilly get like I do, 13.6L/100km. (mixed driving, town and open road)
Mine on the open road can get up to 10.5L/100km. (I have a 3.5 V6 and use to have a 3.8 V6)

These 3.8 V6 motors are really nice.

Don't forget to post some pictures on the forum when you get it...

I recently got a 2004 for a good price and am extremely happy with it.

190k is not a lot of mileage for that car but check the service history there are some big ticket items that need to be done around 180k

PM me or call me on oh 11 nein double oh 2 six 33 and we can confirm if that price is OK. What he owes may not be what the vehicle is worth.

Brilliant vehicle though, very competent and comfortable.
Lusted for a Landy but the Pajero was sexier and bigger in the right departments, just like my Missus.

    Like Stranger said:
The 180k service is a big one, with cambelt replacement and all. Make sure it was done.
Fuel consumption somewhere between 13- and 16L/100km. Tank size on the SWB is 70L, so the fuel range is a challenge.
I had a 2006 like that and loved every minute of ownership.
