They're the standard shallow dish type so probably won't work for you

Goeie dag. Conqueror Supra 1 en 2. Ek is op soek na 'n volledige stel tent "rods" Ek het die boswa 2 dehans gekoop en die tent "rods" ontbreek . As jy dalk weet of kan verwys sal ek dit waardeer. I want to beef up my trailer but don't have a lot of bucks, I want to raise it a bit from the current height and put 195/R14 tyres and rims on apart from its current 155/80/13 rims and tyres it has on now.

It came out with a Burquip Axle with load rating capacity of 900Kg, so its not tooooo shabby.. however, I can put spacers under my suspension to lift it slightly, but I want broader tyres for better off-road capability over sand etc if needed.

Any suggestions or advise? Burquip says I must buy a longer axle if I want to put 14 inch rims and tyres on over the 13 inch rims and tyres... now I am not sure, but is this not just a ploy to sell me a nex axle? I dont have the bucks for a new axle as they are expensive, and I am already thinking of buying the Rims and tyres which is gonna cost me well over R3K.

Please guys, any advice would be appreciated!

Hi Oz. It all depends on the offset of the rim you will be using with these tires so that you still have about 5cm clearance between tire inside wall and the trailer/chassis. See the pic attached and do some measurements.

It is probably what it is... But 35mm exstra between the body and centre of the wheel is alot of space for going one rim size up... it probably is'nt because of the rim size, but because of the width of the proposed tyre... the 195mm

Would there be nothing else one can do except buying a wider axle? Like perhaps putting in spacers to make it wider as per say...

spacers will work, but even better, you do get rims with different offsets. Maybe rather see if you can order rims with a 'deep dish' design or a specific offset if possible

I recently upgraded my Trailer with wider axle and larger tyres, also changed the mud-guards, so I have an Burquip 900Kg Axle, 3 x 13-inch rims with tyres in very very good condition (90%) Tread and 2 x 13-inch mud-guards white, for sale all for the low low price of R2200
