    Default Metal triangles?

We're preparing for our trip to Zambia later this year and I've been told the Zambian traffic ordinances require metal triangles to be carried and not the plastic ones common here.

Has anyone had problems with police over the plastic triangles? Are metal ones available anywhere here? What would you recommend?

Have also been advised we need to carry medical kit, reflective vest and fire extinguisher. Is anything left off this list as far as you know?

Thanks in advance for any input.

I travel in Zambia often and though their requirements states that triangles "must be mounted on a metal plate" they do accept plastic ones now without any problems. Just ensure you have two (2). Medical kit, reflector vest and fire ex is required, but you should not travel without it anyway. Border money can only be paid in local currency or preferably US $. Stay to the speed limits and get used to the constant road blocks. Africa time.......
