Default DIY Pajero 2800tdi Major Service

    Calling all 4m40/1 guru's

Struggling to find a service schedule for the pajero and not finding the time to go out to PTA and buy a proper workshop manual.

I want to give Pajero a good service, so far i am going to do the following:

    1. Air filter
    2. Engine Oil
    3. Oil filter
    4. Fuel filter
    5. Gearbox oil
    6. Diff oil
    7. Egr blank
    8. Inlet manifold clean
    9. Optimism fuel pump

Any recommended brands or specs i should be looking out for ?
What else should i be replacing/cleaning while i'm busy ?

Forgot to metion, i have just bought the vehicle with no real service history and has 230 000km on.

Is there anything in terms of servicing the super select that can be done, as its not working 100% and the 4x4 lights are not coming on as they are supposed to

You can also email mitsu sa customer care and request the service schedule.

I did that this week for my 4m41 Gen4 - got a response back with attached service schedule within 20 minutes.

    What about:

    Radiator flush & coolant change
Clean sump for engine & gearbox
Any filter for the gearbox oil?
    Diff oils
If auto, flush ATF from lines and TC
Belt or chain? Tensioners, guides & belts
    Valve clearance
    Suction Control Valve on pump
Not sure if any solenoids or sensors can be proactively replaced at this point
Any test you can perform on injectors? or at least put bottle of injector cleaner through it
Check all lines, hoses & clamps

You will have to wait for the gurus for more technical detail.

    Thanks for responses.
Finding time has been tough, so far i have only done engine flush, new oil and filters on the motor.

Looking to do difs, tranny and transfer case fluids over weekend and then move see what makes it to top of priority list.

Been running injector cleaner on every second tank full to reduce costs a bit.
