Yes, deflate the caravan's tyres and travel at the speed limit in the park, then you won't have any problems.

I'm assuming you talking about the road between TR and Nossob?

Roads differ from day to day. Most of the times very well corrugated. Only times they are not corrugated is when you drive behind the tractor and the tyre sweeper. Imho the Kgalagadi is getting too crowded for the roads to carry.

Tar all the way via Upington. Kalahari Monate lodge is a nice stop over.

Are these a new type of plug?
Do they still take the standard fitting?

Did you hear about the lioness which went straight through the Mata fence - those Nossob jackals have a solid reputation for pinching stuff.

We recently stayed for 2 nights on one of the new premium campsites, it was a last minute cancelation that we got. In general there is very little shade, I think site 2 is probably the shadiest but has the most traffic past it. Not all the sites were occupied.

We were allocated no, 10, the most remote, so were very happy with it. It is not possible to book a particular site, management allocate you a site on arrival. DWNP, with pencil and paper can allocate you a specific campsite (I know they don't always get it right) but SanParks with a fancy computer system can't!

What were your game sightings like.

Nossob is usually v. good for lion.

    What else was around?

If the pics above are of the new riverfront chalets at Nossop they seem to be right on top of each other.
    Can anyone confirm?

I think Premium camp sites not the chalets.

Due to the rain that was around predator viewing was not great, we were in KTP from 1 - 10 April. This cheetah did walk up and have a drink while we were having morning coffee at Cubitjie Quap. We had better sightings near Mata Mata this time.

I actually prefer the SANP. system. Due to allocation of site numbers you hardly ever get the same site for say 3 nights or longer at Rooiputs, at least my experience, so with a caravan/trailer they expect you to move to your allocated (different) camp every day.

Stayed at Nossop premium campsites no. 1 for a week in Feb. and enjoyed every min.
