    Lightbulb Echo TTT Awning sag

I am sure most people using trailer top tents with awnings have experienced sagging, especially on the corner of the L awning. Dropping the height of the corner tent pole or the two poles next to it (either put them at an angle or use telescopic poles) helps a bit, but in heavy rain it still sags quite a lot, especially if your stand is not level and the drop is not sufficient.
So I tried to devise a support from the tent corner to the corner pole to lift the awning a bit and it works quite well and decided to share it here for others.
Made a telescopic pole that can expand over 3m. Added a tip with a hole to fit over corner pole's pin.

At the other end I used a normal pole tip with a pin and one with a hole on the short pole to connect them at a right angle. the short pole is then fitted to the tent's frame with a 10mm bolt.
The water now flows to the corner pole and runs off quite fast!

    Any further recommendations welcome!

That's a good idea. The sag when raining is always a problem. Especially if you have to get up in the middle of the night, whilst its raining because your awning has collapsed.

yes, done that too, but because of storm winds. this will also help for strength in storms, maybe then add a strip of velcro in the middle to go around the pole.
