That is the Dam where there is endless problems with the drunks doing bank angling. Sit on the West bank and put their bait on the East bank and then shout and carry on about how a canoe is crossing their lines and they were there first. I ask why not just friggin fish in front of you. Have these anglers never studied coarse angling and watched the masters catch 100+ weight with a pole with no reel? Idiots

There used to be good fishing at this dam but unfortunately there has been a lot of harvesting there and over the past 2 years its dropped from 20+ in an afternoon to maybe 1 or 2.

The others are Lenasia side, Benoni, and the chain of dams on the side of the R24 past the airport on the way to Witbank. Randburg

    Potchdam,

Het baie mooi grootbek en Smallies in.

Gaan vang by die inloop onder die treinbrug, topwater werk baie goed daar!

    Groete

    Hey Griff,
You need a boat man, as long as the "pap gooiers" are your naighbours, you will ahve a problem as 50% are on the hydraulic hamburgers. With a boat you can move to the opposite side of the dam and have peace and quite. Regarding Buffelspoort dam, I can probably be seen as a locat ther as I fishe there quite often as I am from Brits thta is close by. The bigges bag of vife fish in one day by a buddy of mine on Buffels is 12.7kg's.

I know this is an old thread and looks like it's only up country. I am in CapeTown and have just come from a lockup no entery sign on the Adderly road to my lekker big dam at the quary.
My youngster and I have been going there for over a year and caught lekker vissies there now no more.
I need to know if any one knows of places in and around CapeTown/Milnerton for Bass ? Maybe we can have some Forum get together/bassing at some dam lets see what transpires.

Kalahari, was going to ask you where you were going, as you mentioned fishing on the cruiver thread. Sorry to hear about the closure of your fishing spot. I am also looking for a spot, but so far the closest i know of is Theewaterskloof. The rest seems to be trout fishing, where an entrance fee has to be paid.

    Question

Are there any privateers / farmers in the Nelspruit region that have bass dams that I can fish? I'm a bit tired of all my local spots.....

Right summer is back and I am suffering with cabin feaver.

Any small dam you know of that you wouldn't mind me and my chom trying?

We will leave no rubbish or cut off tackle. We don't remove fish and the only evedence of us being there will be Isuzu tracks our footprints and entry point into the dam/river/pond.

PM me and I will respond.

Thumbs up Bass Dam - Krugersdorp

You can give Laurentia Dam a go. There you will have no problems with people getting out of hand and I know they have some nice bass there. Then there is also Bosparadys Dairy Farm only thing is you have to book in advance because they are almost always fully booked 3 months in advance, but you might just get lucky.
