    Hi Johan,

    A most poignant and meaningful trip report. I am grateful for your always enjoyable and informative trip reports and I very sad that in these things, it is the end of the road - for you and also for us.

    I have just ordered your book on the Kaokoveld and it will be read with gentle eyes, knowing the importance of what lies behind it.

    My sincere condolences for your loss and my hopes for a new and blessed future.

    Regards,
    Grant

    Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
    And sorry I could not travel both
    And be one traveler, long I stood
    And looked down one as far as I could
    To where it bent in the undergrowth;

    Then took the other, as just as fair,
    And having perhaps the better claim,
    Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
    Though as for that the passing there
    Had worn them really about the same,

    And both that morning equally lay
    In leaves no step had trodden black.
    Oh, I kept the first for another day!
    Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
    I doubted if I should ever come back.

    I shall be telling this with a sigh
    Somewhere ages and ages hence:
    Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
    I took the one less traveled by,
    And that has made all the difference.

    Baie dankie Johan, het jou verslag met 'n knop in my keel gelees.

    Sterkte en mooi loop.

    Hi Johan,

    As usual, I enjoyed reading your report, thank you for sharing, but sad am I to hear it is an end of an era for you. I immensely enjoyed meeting you in Windhoek in October 2014 and it was a great honour to listen and note all your suggestions and advice for our following trip in Northern Namibia. Thank you again for having been so generous and for sharing so passionately your knowledge. Thanks to your experience, we had a wonderful trip and went to places we hadn't planned to previously, which at the end made our journey amazingly interesting. Your 2 books were daily consulted and were a wealth of useful information.

    Thank you.

    May your road in future be at peace and happy.

    Mary ( from France/Australia)

    Ek het nou vanaand begin deurlees en die trip report geniet, soos dit geniet kan word. Die era wat eindig is nie die memories wat jy met jou vrou gehad het nie. Dit gaan moeilik wees om die ding wat in jou bloed is, te vergeet. Die landie het seker ook al "siel" gekry. Sterkte en hoop jy vind die lus vir n nuwe avontuur want jy is nog jonk.
