Issues with my 2013 Trailblazer

So I have been having intermittent error messages popping up on my TB's display:

• Service ESP - Which then proceeds to disable this function
• Service 4WD - Which then proceeds to not permit you to put the TB in 4H or 4L

These two always pop up at the same time. Although I have reported it to the GM dealership multiple time, and they say that the reprogramming has been updated and it should not happen again. But a week later it's all back again.

Now last night when I left work to go home, these error messages popped up as per normal, but then the TB put itself into 4L, without me touching the dial.

Imagine my surprize when I pulled away...

This cause me to pull off to the side of the road to try and put it back into 2H. Nothing... Put the TB in neutral, handbreak up, didn't go into 2H. Turned my car off, me fuming at this point, phoning GM Road assist. Spoek to the agent, while my car was switched off. Just as she wanted to confirm that a tow truck is on the way, I asked her to give me a moment to try one last time, as the place where I was standing next to the road was a bit dodgy, and I wasn't looking forward in waiting for an hour for the truck to arrive. I started the car, so that the dial's lights lit up, turned it from 2H to 4L and back, and there the TB put itself to 2H again. Told the agent I would phone her back if this happened again before I get home.

So nothing happened and I took it to the local GM dealership, and tell them the story, just so that the technician can phone me back 2 hours later and telling me that there is absolutely nothing wrong with my car, talking to me as if I made all this up...

So I will most probably get my car back again with promises that it will now be ok, just to sit with the same problem 3 days later....

Any ideas as to what the problem could be? With my OBDII reader I have picked up and reported to GM CAMBUS communication errors, as well as "network problems"...

Oh, and to add, the Service manager at GM told me that the TB put itself into 4L as a form of "limp mode". So when I asked him whether this mode is not applied to the engine to keep the engine power low etc, he said that the TB inforces it on the gearbox.... So what happens on they 4x2 cars...

Not really surprised at all at GM's response : "There is nothing wrong with your car". They think I made up this story.

Cornell, kyk of daar nie drade deur geskuur het nie, of dalk morsaf is nie. Vriende se jack russel het hul drade afgebyt toe hy 'n rot gejaag het. Ek en hy het 'n hele oggend lank na die fout gesoek (ons het gedink die rot het 'n draad afgebyt). Op sy TB was die drade links voor af. As jy die wiel afhaal sit die cable trunking waarin die kabel is reg voor jou. Dalk is dit jou probleem ook.

Sy "service ESP en Service 4x4" liggies het ook aangekom.

Het die laaste week baie grondpad gery in Lesotho en langs grens. Vanoggend op grondpad kom die Service Theft System aan en sny amper uit. Op teerpad gaan radio dood en aan. In Ladybrand die terminal gekyk en earth voel los. Vasgemaak en gery. Op grondpad gaan radio af en hill decent kom aan. Op plaas kyk en kry kragdraad na alternator deurgeskuur onder die battery en maak kortsluiting. Reg gemaak met baal tou en rubber pyp. Sal laat reg maak as terug in JHB

Yeah so they did a "quick check" after the error messages displayed again, and couldn't find any fault. They refreshed all the software, but 3 hours later the same to error messages came on.

Will have to book it in for 2 days now so they can check all the connections and censors.
