    A lot has been said. If I had a running tdv6, I would gather 4 more lucky tdv6 owners, and do a group import on a billet crank as preventative replacement. I would also much easier fork over my cash to CMA or whoever if they used either forged or billet machined.

    A quick google delivered this one, from china, my bra...

    The guy makes all the right noises regarding 4340 billet steel and nitride hardening treatment... Jaaaa, I know made in china, but it seems that even the kukkest billet will be better than the OEM scrap waarmee julle nou sukkel. 10 years in business also does not mean much...I know.

    you make a very valid point here regarding the billet cranks.

    Any billet crank would be a vast improvement over the status quo.

    BTW How is my old D1 300Tdi doing

    Not to stray too far off topic, but it is a Discovery after all :-)

    Towed caravan for the first time two weeks ago, enjoyed it so much I towed the next weekend again LOL
