    Hi Kleintjie,

before the 63mm donwpipe and decat, I was getting 11.8km/l. So yours sounds very thirsty! I am currently getting around 12.6km/l now (kb300, 2008 4x4 ex-cab).

I don't drive fast or pull away hard between lights and stop streets.

I made a little chin bar for my Suzi to give some added protection for those low concrete stubs in parking areas. Or, you know, a big rock or something.

Man, one day in the not too distant future, I want to cut out the cross slats and replace it with honey comb type mesh. The grill on this specific model was just terrible from the start.

Strip the grille, mask carefully to restrict excess silicone, and do just that. Silicone them strips to the entire length of the base. That measly original tabs make you loose your strip very easily. At R1100 each (some years ago already, come to think of it) it hurts! I have two in stock if you are interested. R250 each.

Started on my custom exhaust. Will replace most of the exhaust over time starting from the back.

    This is 63mm x 1.6mm mildsteel.

Over the weekend I made two covers for my foglights similar to these, from an old perspex numberplate. Luckily the glass surface is flat, which made it easy for the covers to be stuck on with clear silicone.

Be careful of not making your exhaust too short. You might find that toxic fumes will be drawn into the canopy or cab because of the low pressure cell just behind the vehicle.

If it was me, I would let the exhaust end where the current one ends or take it out the side just behind the rear wheel.

Not today, but had a rear replacement bumper from Dune offroad fitted and a set of camil coil over shocks at the rear to compensate for weight of canopy and bumper.Click image for larger version.
