Fitted 3" lift to my bakkie, going to do my Dads one soon. Just need to complete by sorting the front out and doing the centre bearing bracket.

Managed to finish up the LED lights for my Dads bakkie. First time doing something like this, next time might do it slightly different. It works so I'm quite chuffed with that

So a few weeks ago I went to Klein Tafelberg and while out on the trail decided to rearrange a rock or two on the mountain.
Needless to say the bakkie came second, I never did like that chrome nudge bar anyway.
So after my poor judgement in choosing the right line it was off to Maniac 4x4 to look into another bumper.

Also I generally drive with most of my overland stuff in the vehicle and the suspension was looking a bit sad, especially at the rear.

So time for a suspension lift too ..............

I'm very happy with the work done by Maniac, still need to test out the suspension on something other than a speed hump or kerb .............

This is the front bumper ......

    Another view .........

Suspension lift upgrade is an EFS Kit, 50mm lift.

    Hi

I got the unit at Car Hi-Fi Center in Diep River - cost around R14k.

The unit works well, I have since added a Kenwood reverse camera too.

I wanted CD quality sound, so I ripped my CD collection to FLAC format and stuck them on a 128gb memory stick.
    Works like a charm !

I think it was around R1800 or so.

There is another thread with a bit more detail and photos - I also replaced all of the speakers and had sound deadening applied ..........

Been a busy 4 days. Sorted out the gearbox leak on my bakkie by drilling and tapping, still a very small leak but I'll live with it compared to how it was. Did a break fluid flush.

Fitted a 63mm stainless steel exhaust to my Dad's bakkie.

Drove down to Cape Town on Thursday, dropped my Ext cab Isuzu off at Burnco on Friday morning and flew home. Flying down to Cape Town again this coming Saturday to collect it and then the "short" drive home again....

Drawers and some storage boxes in the loadbin, shelves behind the seats as well as fixed perches/beds at windowsill height for our 2 miniature dachshund "children".

Will be passing the 100 000km mark on the odometer on the way home. The vehicle is only 25 months old and I live 4km from work. It's been a few places .......

Hi guysLast night I replaced the shackle bushes on my KB5. Got poly bushes put in some time ago, but now changed back to rubber. Got the bushes from Syd's suspension for R240.Not really the most difficult, but it is a pain in the neck to do.Next I will probably have to do cab rubbers as there is a bit of movement/noise when going around corners. Maintenance never ends, but I cant really complain too much
