Fun stuff. Clutch started slipping in Mthatha on Thursday. Nursed it back Friday (1000km no cruise control, 4th gear, very light foot).
Was busy yesterday, today pulled gearbox to inspect. Agents want R8500 for clutch plate, pressure plate and thrust bearing. Luk kit difficult to find. R6500 for the 3.2 v6 kit, which is also a pull type, but I don't know if it will fit.

I took the Frontier to Wizerd for a dyno run, I dont know if I should be worried or exited, but I am a bit confused.
    SCAN_20160425_135255922.pdf
According to the Kw graph the max Kw is around 77 and max torque 280
According to the Nm graph the max Kw is arround 115 and max torque 420
To give an idea I can Almost keep up with a +- 2000 SWB 3.2 diesel Pajero and a 3.0 D4D Hilux
Has anyone done their car with similar power specs there?
I would love to compare figures from that dyno.
    Regards, Erik.

The latter sounds way out. Is this power at the wheels? Factory was 74kw at the flywheel, 240nm. Looks optimistic.

I dont know, he said the figures were at the wheels, I can beleive that the 77kw and 280 Nm are at the wheels, but definitely not 115 and 420.

I did a dyno run at GnG Developments last year and got 62kw and 202nm at the wheels.
I have since increased the boost to 1.1 bar from 0.7/8, adjusted the diesel pump and fitted a 63mm freeflow.
I should maybe just have went there again, it would probably be better to test on the same machine and settings for a good comparison.

I agree. Do that. 62kw at wheels is pretty much in line with that I saw on other dynos on 280's. My 3.0 does 77kw on wheels. I have yet to find a 280 that can keep up with it. My dads 3.0 does quire a bit more 😉

I done my rear brakes a few weekends ago.

I also seen my rear diff seals are leaking on the drive shafts.... I hate this diff.

I know... this one is not packing up so.... I'm going to get another diff as this one is not worth fixing to me. It's seen better days.

I had the "pleasure" of replacing a wheel cylinder and brake shoes on mine the other day. Everything that could go wrong did.....

Springs jumping off, pistons popping out of the wheel cylinders, holes that wouldn't line up... Finally managed to get everything where it was supposed to be and then realised that I forgot to connect the handbrake cable!

Got it all done eventually though! Van got a major service after that and a few upgrades. LED Festoon globes inside as well as an additional cigarette lighter socket in the centre console above the rear glass release button (Fitted it into the square blank)

Also refitted my original spare wheel carrier bracket. Gave it an overhaul with new machined stainless steel pins, new DU Bushes in the hinges and a nice new set of machined tapered cups where the anti rattle cone rubbers sit (Mine didn't have any) and a new rubber insert by the lock.

Which aux tank did you fit ? I'm also looking at doing the same.
