    Default road to punda maria

We are doing Knp from north to south next month- cant wait! Has anyone taken the R529 through Giyani to Punda Maria gate or is it best to stick to the N1 to Louis Trichard?
We don't know the area and would like to avoid populated areas where people wander on the roads. Any advise is greatly appreciated. Thanks. Hillary

+1 Pafuri is wonderful. Different type of landscape -- Fever Tree forest, lots of elephants and a lovely place for a braai. Crooks Corner still has magic. One of our favourite places in the Kruger.

Thanks for the advise. Long time since we were there and so looking forward to it.
I'm showing my ignorance as I've posted this in wrong province!
