    Default Best Bed Buy

I need a new bed. Mine is tired (no wiseass comments) besides it's too small.

Anyone bought one recently - I want upsize to a King Size Bed & Base set.
Preferably on the Woes Rand or close to...

    Any suggestions?

Spend a bit and get a solid base with a simmonds (spelling) matress.

At least you dont need an extra length.

Flat bed Truck would be more suitable for you Manny.

I got my bed at Tafelberg furnishers - best prices around for most things.

Look out for 'end of run' sets - the manufacturers change the cover material every couple of years but the bed itself stays the same. I got a Sealy King Size extra length for 8k instead of 13k normal price… and believe me, it's fantastic..

I bought one of these last year.

Not the best or most expensive, but I am quite happy with it.

must check if it's the same one - they seem to have different levels with fluffier bits on.

Anyway. It's very comfortable. It does make a huge difference….

make sure you get a non-turn mattress.

hotels mostly use simmons and serta - have you ever slept in a good hotel and not had a decent sleep?
Serta is the best in my opinion.

King size is a must if you have kids/dogs/cats/whateva jumping on your bed in the morning
Oh, and go for the extra length. Trust me on that. You know I am a kortgat, but I enjoy not having my feet sticking out the end of the bed

Sleepworld,. They make a full range of domestic and hotel quality. Both Bonnell spring and pocket coil in 800 and 1000 series. They also make arange for one of the retailers, possibly 40 Winks.

    Default Best Bed Buy

    Thanks guys.

    Today I learnt:
    • Beds are more expensive than I thought
    • King & extra length are difficult to get linen for.
    • Simmonds, Serta & Sealy (in that order) are the better brands.
    • Coil is better, but must be pocket coil.
    • The bed guys advertising on this forum mislead you.
    Pat, will call you tomorrow!
