Rotsinbos Bush Camp and Lodge, Brits NW is a great bush camping experience 1.5 hrs from JHB. www.rotsinbos.co.za. Stunning scenery with private or shared ablutions.

Thanks this looks amazing. Accessible with a non 4x4 high clearance car?

Michael, how did you find the 'pet friendly' part?

I tend to not like these places because it only takes one barking dog to ruin a peaceful camp. Or some crazy lady that brings her African grey along... Or a bad dog owner who doesn't pick up the poop. Nothing as bad as stepping in a 'sponsdoring'.

I have pets, love them, but have someone take care of them at home when I go away.

It does look like a real nice place so will want to give it a try.

Camped at Sionbergh last weekend. Lovely spot.
Favorite amongst church groups, but they do not encroach on your personal space.
Camping right on the dams edge - apparently good for fishing but never saw anyone netting a fish.
Kids pool, cold pool and warm pool.
Church on the premises where services are held on Sundays.
Smallish camping sites, but big enough for a medium sized caravan.
Reasonable priced and just outside of Heidelberg on the way to Vereeniging.

Their facilities are very good and so is the lovely green lawns, just found it too on top of each other and very little in the way of shade on most campsites. 50% bigger stands would have been perfect. I enjoyed the weekend though.
