I bought a cadac tent having all sorts of guarantees, they stopped importing these tents. So if you are going to buy a tent, then rather bite the bullet, buy a jar of lubricant and buy a well known brand with a good name. Hint: buy a tin of silicone spray and spray your zips, don't get it on the tent itself. Silicone spray does not smell and is safe on clothing.

Have you had a tent zip replaced? If so, where did you have it done.

You are going to have zips stronger than the tent. Chuck the thing and the repair costs to the price of a new decent tent.

Zip on the rain cover as well as on the tent replaced at C&A Concepts with a heavy duty zip... all done in 1.5 days

Total cost R600, workmanship is excellent, and the tent should now last many years to come.
