Air Show

I hope it's the rite place! Air show at Ysterplaat 20+21/9/2008. Who is going ?
I am if winter takes a break. Saterday sunny and 17c, Sunday sunny and 20c. I will clock in at 7am on Sunday if weather is what they say.
Any takers to join me to camp out for the day.

Will be there on Saturday as the gates open. Have volunteered to do duty in the museum for a while. Might join you on Sunday, depending on circumstances.

I will be there on Sunday (with my complimentary tickets ) for a couple of hours - not sure what time of the day yet.

Remember you can park at Canal Walk / Ratanga Junction and enter through the new gate there and be shuttled to the other side of the airfield.

Great vids Simom, Young Beast hope u are getting fit again we miss u enjoy what u can of the show.AD Girl + Simon are we meeting and going together ? I live 1or2 k's from northwest in line of runway, we could also have bring a braai with you know what ? I will see who els is there on Sunday and we can take it from there deppening how u all feel.
Some of us are not as lucky Derren.
I said i'll be there @ 7am but I see opens @ 6am not sure now what we will do as I want a good spot to see and film the action.

No gas braai's - safety/permit issues (from the City of Cape Town).

The food vendors are supposed to be up and running by 8-8:30 so you could get breakfast. They are allowed to replenish their stocks at lunchtime so hopefully you can get lunch too.

I usually get there before the gates open, and set up my camping chair and coolerbag somewhere in line with where the aircraft achieve lift off... somewhere about 150m north the main taxiway, but of course that depends on the wind direction.
