    Hello all

Have any of you done the Marcuskraal 4x4 Trail just outside of Citrusdal? Will a stock standard Fortuner have any problems ?

    Advice please

We did it about 3 years ago, so much could have changed, but from what I can remember, a stock ANYTHING with low range should be fine, on the main trail. There is one optional very steep, very loose part where only the serious players will get through... but for the rest you should be fine.

There are some sections you'll have difficulty with a standard 4x4 of any sorts....that is assuming with stock standard you mean HT tires, no lift, no rock sliders etc.

I don't have any suspension lift of rock sliders etc. YET.

OK, clearly the route has worsened. I stand corrected.

We wen t with an assortment of D/cab bakkies, a few Jeeps (both old and new) a Defender, and a Disco 2. No-one had any difficulty, except for one D'cab Colt that missed the road on a loose uphill bit. He had to be recovered. All the other bakkies went throough there without a hitch.

Contact the route owner. They were very approachable and will give you the latest info.
