Eerste vraag is ry julle low of high range?

As julle oor die slip-face gaan, is julle in low of high range, as julle in high is skakel julle low toe? 2de rat low as julle af gaan?

    Thx JJ

Maklikste is..... Ry en kyk wat werk

Paar Rule of Thumbs vir my:

(Normale druk is 1.4 - 1.6 Bar, so die 30% werk nogsteeds)

Effens tos as jy alleen is. Versigtig hier. "Genoeg" is meskien 10 km/h.

As jy gaan speel, probeer bietjie in 2wd Highrange ry.

Dis nou uitsorteer though.

PROPPER!

(Of hoe Kavanji )

JJ, I didn't follow all what was said as regarding hi and low and pap wheels etc as my taal n' bietjie swaak is Ne, maar....

I took my Patrol and followed some of the Nam boyz around the dunes and nobody told me to deflate below 3 bar and I left it in 4x2 all the time and only got stuck once but managed to get out....

All I can say is I was the only one with a Patrol..... with a big fridge with the frosties in - I think the extra weight at the rear helped going down some of the faces but not sure - it certainly went up the dunes better as the contents decreased and were evenly distributed across the various 4x4's there...

I was too busy watch the scenery to pay too much attention to what gear or hi low range or what even the Patrol was doing - I just let it do its own thing and follow the herd - seemed easy enough especially with the X3 leading the way...

I will be back in Swakop in 3 weeks to see if I can gain anymore pearls of wisdom / nugget's of info on driving the Namib dunes... its been interesting so far..

Maybe sell that appliance and get a troll? As for the Landy - better ask the Meerkat for advise - that's his area of expertise..

Oh and forget Kavanji's advice he can really talk crap after a few Jagermeisters - bottles that is

They even got a member called "Marmite" with a really nicely kitted Landy but that's a story for another day.

I grew up wit landies and still own a 1994 200 series TDI with maribiscuits. Still my favourite car to drive and never got stuck ... Well, one cannot exactly storm dunes, but in the right gear one can achieve a lot. I can drive the old lady with my eyes closed and know exactly how she will respond next.

Then I went crazy and bought and LC 76 V8.... Still trying to get used to the thing as it is a totally different drive experience. I still want to write a review and some feedback on the changes i made...

Tunja - with some of these nam boys as friends u don't need enemies! They like to unlock ur front hubs if u have them. Our favourite pastime is to have a beer while someone is stuck and digging! 😂
