    Default Discover your Discovery

Been reading on another forum and there is a thread of hints and tips of little finds (usually found when you RTFM).

Open the lower cubbyhole/ glove box and at the right edge of the door is a notch. Put the handles of your take away on the notch and close the door. lifts the bag off the floor and stops your Chinese sauce from rolling about on the floor and spilling inside the bag

With the wiper control in 'off' flip down to give a single normal wipe. I'm sure you all new that. However I didn't realise that if you hold the control arm down you get instant 'high speed' wiping. Just the thing when suddenly hit by the wake from a passing vehicle or such.

Anyone have any more hints & tips to share?

I have one for the Reverse camera

Put car in reverse , wait for camera to show on screen
    Put in Park
    Switch off
    Switch on
and Camera stays in Reverse for the rest of the trip .

    I also have a question

Why does my Nav sometimes switch to miles ?

Only when guidance is on , stop , switch off , when switched back on , distance is in miles .

    I have a question, if I may?
People complain if your fog lights are on during clear conditions, how on earth do I switch them off on a D3? stupid question, I know. Haven't had the Landy for long and I can't RTFM because it never came with one.
Sorry if this is hijacking an otherwise interesting thread.

There are cup holders under the back of the center console for the rear passengers.
There are other "curry hooks" (for your takeaways and shopping) in the rear also.

Chopped dont pull your switch out when turning your headlights on. Just rotate.

Nice. That's going to to useful when arguing with the Moz cops when they complain that I can't see out of my rear view mirror.

If you press and hold the door lock and unlock buttons the back door opens.

The switch can be pulled out with two clicks. one click for front fog lights and two clicks for rear fog lights. for normal headlight use dont pull out at all.

On the HSE with surround cameras simply select it via the on screen display. This probably applies to non HSE models

My HSE model only came out with the reverse camera , many of the first D4's did not have the surround camera's.

My bad - I was under the impression that post 2012 all HSE models came out with the Surround Cameras.
