    John, how have you serviced the gearbox? Any flush or filter change? Or did you stick to the 4L a pop tranny oil drain and replace every 60k?

    Sorry Roelf, did not reply to your post earlier.

    I only requested the gearbox to be flushed and the filter to be replaced this year, I am not sure if they did it previously under the normal maintenance schedule at Union, so I dont know exactly.

    As a rule, I try to change all fluids at least once a year, if not already done so during a service (radiator flush & test, gearbox and diff oil etc).

    It seems as if they can check/test the oil to see if it is required to change it or not.

    at that mileage I would change all the oils and all the coolant pipes. Grease the nipples and bearings and soldier on to the next 400k kms.

    Myne 340 000km en ook geen probleme.Gebruik vol sintetiese olie en diens elke 10 000km
