    Default MT Tyre Survey!

    • I have put together a basic survey that should take no more than 2 minutes.
    • Please don't do the survey unless you have some experience with MT tyres! For example - I have never driven a MT offroad so I mustn't partake in the survey. If you have opinions borne out of experience, please do the survey!
    • The survey can only take 100 responses because it is the free version on Survey Monkey.
    • I'll publish the results on this thread as soon as we get 100 responses.
    • Hopefully this can give people like myself a better idea of what the opinions are of those who actually use or have used MTs on their 4x4s.

Every statement I make comes with the proviso that I don't know what i'm talking about.
“It's a terrible thing, I think, in life to wait until you're ready. I have this feeling now that actually no one is ever ready to do anything. There is almost no such thing as ready. There is only now. And you may as well do it now. Generally speaking, now is as good a time as any.” – Hugh Laurie

Sorry. I knew I should've run the list past you first. I thought I had all of the most common options. I've just added them. Unfortunately the first 5 respondents (which I assume includes you) didn't have them as options so for them it will be the equivalent of a N/A selection. Bugger. Anyway, hopefully we can get a full 100 responses and it then shouldn't skew the results much.

It's not a problem, you've covered most of the common ones.

Not picking on the survey; and knowing that including a size is impossible due to vehicle types..... but asking questions based on preference to go wider, taller, larger rim, profile should give you an idea what is valued when it comes to size.

Example; in the 33" diameter sizes, I would rather go for a 255/85, than a 285/75. Would not up-size the rim to 17" if a 16" fits the caliper....

    ... still nice idea

Yes, this would make for some interesting opinions as well. I wanted to keep the survey to address the issue of whether or not to move from AT to MT and to get the opinions of those with experience of MTs.

Maybe if this is a popular survey and it adds value we could do another as you suggest...
