    Default Sani Pass ML320CDI

    Hi there,

Please can I get some advice, I'm contemplating the trip up Sani Pass with an ML 320 CDi with permanent 4 wheel drive only, no low range or diff lock but it has ascent and descent control with standard 18 inch wheels.

Would this pass be safe for me?

    Regards

Did the pass on Monday, they are busy grading the road leading to the pass and SA post. Biggish soft mounds of sand and loose rocks that the grader operator rolled out the way by hand, after that plain sailing.
On another note, no un abridged certificate for my 9 year old needed (whose passport also expires November), Lesotho side stamped entry and exit same time so I did not need to stop on way down.
We carried on up the new Chinese road (fantastically smooth) and found knee deep snow all over, played in the snow then had lunch at the pub.
