    Default Namakwa Eco route

Could anyone tell me more about the Namakwa Eco route? We are planning to do this the coming weekend as a via to Springbok and the flowers! We only plan to do the part from Pella (Pofadder) to the N7. We will be the only vehicle. Where shoud we book or get the permit? And yes, we are going in a 4x4 with a rooftop (no towing) and we do not plan to take the road to hell as well, we will pass on that untill we have company.

Permits and route direction pamphlets to be collected in Pella before starting.

No need to book - just arrive.

R150-00 per vehicle to Vioolsdrif and R150-00 per vehicle for the second stage (2013)

Nice trip, easy to do, especially if not towing.
Very, very, very dusty along some sections close to the river and reeds.
    Some interesting and rocky climbs.
    Beautiful scenery.

Don't miss the date farm. Pick up a box or 2 of dates - lovely.

    Enjoy!

    Hi Viking,
You are referring to a different area to the one under discussion. But, the answer is "yes, it is open". Only an off-road caravan will go there. Mild sand and middle-mannetjie conditions.

    No problem.
Consider going all the way to Hondeklipbaai. Definitely more sand and tougher conditions to tow anything, but the best that coast can offer in terms if wind hammering and remoteness. We just love that part of the country.

We setting up Camp in the Southern part of the Park and will then do the Eco trail a few days later. We also love it up there and have been before BUT up the N7 which I want to avoid this time. Last year there was about 9 STOP & GO's !!

If you are a camper that can do your own shower and toilet then Ramansdrif is a gem.

When you go advanced, there is a little paper clip at the top to the right of the smiley. Choose your file from which the pics must be posted.
A tip: Make your picks smaller so that it can upload more easily.
    Enjoy.
