    Default MTB trails in CT

So I am moving down to CT in a couple of weeks, and would like to find out where a couple of nice trails are to ride?

I'll be in Edgemead, and if there are a few close by I would definitely like to go and try them..

    Hi
There are lots of trails here...
    http://www.tygerbergmtb.co.za/trails.html
    http://www.bottelaryhillsmtb.co.za/
Then I know there are people riding on the lower slopes of Table mountain, but I dont know those trails.
You can also cycle Jonkershoek in Stellenbosch

Richard Middelman has one on his farm - near Botriver, Honingklip

a little closer is the one on Helderberg farm - also looks well laid out and maintained.

That is a bit far... But isn't that trail close to the brewery?

I also just bought a new bike unseen. It is now waiting at a friends place. Can't wait to try it out...

Tygerberg is practically my back yard. Let me know when you're down and settled and want me to show you the trails.

Table Mountain is scenic but boring and Tokai is closed for the foreseeable future.

Jonkershoek is fun but requires some rebuilding after the fires. Still worth a visit though!

Bottelary is beautiful but not as much fun as some other trails.

Welvanpas close to Wellington has a lot of different routes to try (and is included in the Tygerberg annual membership).

Helderberg is basically UP and DOWN and LOTS of fun, especially on a trail bike.

Grabouw has a network of trails including Lebanon, Thandi, Paul Cluver, the MTO forest. It is a bit of everything although my favourite is Lebanon. Signage at Paul Cluver needed some attention last time I was there.

Trust me, you won't get bored!

I don't have coordinates. I know where it is. It borders on Brandwacht in Stellenbosch.

    Hi Niel

I'm definitely going to give you a shout when I'm down there. I'm off the bike for about a month now, and seriously need to get moving again. Should still be OK for about 30 - 40 km of trails.
