Default Chev t/blazer 2.8 4x2 rattle noise front console

    Good day,

noticed that when i drive at 120km/h a rattle sound coming from the front console. Can't seem to pin point exactly where its coming from. Maybe a loose screw in the speakers or hand holds.

    Anyone have the same.

    Thanks

I also had a rattle at around 90-110km/hr. I removed speaker covers and applied double sided tape almost everywhere along the dash! Turned out to be the cover on outside next to the wiper (see picture). When driving at speed and at a certain angle against the wind, it rattles, sounding like a rattle coming from the inside! Remove it and apply double sided tape on possible contact points. Do both sides! My rattle is gone-it was driving me nuts!

The other rattle that sounded as if from the dash was the centre console cover rattle. See picture of what I did. A test to confirm is to apply pressure on the console when hearing the rattle.

Lastly, loosen and fasten the door lock mechanism (the mechanism on the door itself, and the pin/ hoop fixed to the body). There is sometimes some tension that just needs to be released. Else, apply Vaseline.

    Regards

Wow. amazingly I'm experiencing the same thing. GM should fix this for free under warranty.
