    Default Updated PCM on BT50

Had my 2013 3.2 Auto Mazda in on Monday for its 75 000 service. They updated my PCM (without me asking) but what a difference it has made.

It actually feels like my driving a 147kw car now. The whole vehicle just feels more urgent, it actually feels like you driving in sports mode the whole time. I'v reset the fuel trip computer and its showing 0.2 l/100 less but that still needs to be confirmed after a tank or 3.

My advice is if you haven't had your PCM updated on the Mazda for a while, go and do it.

So you reckon you will be able to tune the ECU with this tool? Sounds super cool.
    When is the tool arriving?

Its the Same Unit most guys use to "ReMap" the Vehicles.
So yes, Once the ECU is unlocked, Like mine is already, its Playtime.
But i want to see if i can "Remap" the gearbox Rather then the Engine.
I think the Gearbox on the AT isnt what it could be... Lets Face it, FordSA loads their own maps on the Rangers, the ECUs are blank... and I have no faith in FORDSA... They are a bunch of idiots only here to make money.
and their Engineers should go back to school.

So lets wait and see. I ordered it form the UK. So should have it by the end of the month.... Hopefully!!

That sounds awesome! I didn't know you could remap the gearbox in the same way... This will be very interesting, because I agree with you, the gearbox software really is very clumsy. It could do with some refinement.
But you do know this won't be a walk in the park...
Please keep us updated as to when it arrives and how the system works?

i think the Gearbox Runs on a Diffenrent ECU. But it should work the same way as the Engine ECU. Just need to find it. Its going to take time.... but i have enough of it these days.
    will keep you updated.
