    Default Kampeerplek op Riviersonderend

Ok, die Riviersonderend hardloop, of sal ek s kruip, deur my plaas.

Ek dink ek wil n kampeerplek oopmaak.

Nou, eerstens, is daar nog behoefte vir n nice stil kampeerplek?

En tweedens, krag of geen krag?

Champagne on the River, is my buurman se kampplek reg langs my, en hulle doen redelik goed in somer helfdte.

Sal teen november/desember operasioneel wees.

    Voorlopig geen kragpunte vir kampeerplekke..

Hou my op hoogte asb.

Very interested . No power not a problem often an advantage. Good ablutions essential.

No power is an attraction to me, you get less of the people who go camping to play music out their cars etc.

I would rather go for a firepit than a "set" fireplace, something like in the attachment is really awesome, can cook on one side and relax on the other, or all around at the end of the day. Had something similar in orange river.

Any ideas on separators between sites? Often the least attractive aspect of a site for me is having someone set their tent up right against mine, or parking their car as close as possible to you with no regard for opening and closing doors.

Activities wise these would be great:
    - hiking
    - fishing
    - cycling
    - scenic drives

    Just my two cents

No electricity is my choice - no bright lights, noise etc. And I agree about the fire pits rather than a built up structure so that you can sit around the fire.

Sounds good to me, electricity not essential.

Close enough to Cape Town for a quick weekend getaway.
Sounds like you have the right type of activities available too, from my point of view anyway.

I will certainly be watching this thread.

Sounds good been to Champagne on the rivierplaas a few times,
As above no elect , quiet peaceful, decent ablutions with separate toilets, the ladies spend hours inside dual toilet showers,
    Round braai area,
Secured entrance as that area attracts drive ins on Sunday's (day visitors)
Oh and lots of shade as the heat can be hectic in summer out your way.

Andre form safari Roetes also did a 4x4 trail at Riviersonderend, very nice. So yes i think it can work, there is a lot to do in that area, close to Raka wines, close enough to the coast as well. Just love it there!
