    Post Bakkie Tent

    Hi Guys

Im looking for a tent that will fit onto the back of my double cab Nissan Hardbody.

The main thing for me is I have a tight budget and would like something that is small and easy to remove and also doesn't take up a lot of storage space.

I would mainly use it for those occasions where you only need to camp for one night.

I used to just throw a inflatable mattress in my SUV but I recently upgraded to the bakkie.

Why bother, a Malamoo or Coleman pop up will be less hassle and less expensive leaving you with all the space you need.
Lusted for a Landy but the Pajero was sexier and bigger in the right departments, just like my Missus.

It would be nice having a little roof over the back of the bakkie when we want to use it for a quick shelter, plus you will be off the ground.

I don't really like those pop up tents...

What about a canvas canopy and a mattress?

The loadbed is just to short, unless you sleep with the tailgate open. But then a canopy wont work. The kingcab have the ideal lenght loadbox

The loadbed is big enough to fit a doublebed air matress.
Looks like I will have to find someone who can custom make something for me...

So where do you put all your stuff?

Surely, a simple dome tent / pop up tent or (more expensively) a rooftop tent on load bars would be a better option than this load-bin tent thing?

What happens to all your gear with the tent is erect?
What is the downside of being 900mm higher off the ground?

Sorry for all the Questions but i just cant get my head around this one.

    Tentco Explorer Safari Bow Tent, Size: 1.5m X 2.1m X 1.5m

Double cab loadbin is a bit short though...and you will have to install some sort of floor to level the ground, as the wheel arches will get in the way. (Add a drawer system while you at it).
