My understanding is that the "cap" will apply per vehicle you use, so in my case its the two cars @ R225 each + 2 motorcycles at R125 each. So the "cap" is still R700 per month on my household and then I still need to conform to their rules by registering They can go fly a kite!!

(There is an option for cancelling it) Did not know I had to return the e-tag or face a R150 "fine" that will summarily be deducted from account.... I have also been held liable for a full month of tolls for the car after I had cancelled and after the car had no longer been in my possession or ownership...
That is your sentence for registering in the first case.

Vehicle was in parents in-law's name. I took me wife's car and she mine. (Hers was worth less and I drive a lot so the decision to rather drive hers into the ground) The in-laws all have e-tags, cept for the one I was driving. Off course mos my liability...

Sanral start harassing them and they weren't happy that I was the one bringing said harassment over them, seeing as said harassment was the reason they all got tags in the first place... I then got e-tag to keep the peace....

So if anyone want to pass some judgement, I'll be open to take some over the fact that I did not have enough kahoonas or patience to tell the inlaws I was not going to conform....

Not passing judgement, just friendly joking, but at least you got that.

    You are getting personal.

Do you know Nazir, have you sat done with him and discussed a contract, or a specification, or had a cup of coffee and sandwich with him. Presented a proposal to him, negotiated the finer details and won the contract. I HAVE.

Irrespective of the bigger issues, the thing that pissies me off most about this topic is the automatic assumption, condemnation and accusations that the individuals involved are idiots.

Guys, 90% of the people you are dissing are in fact the cream off the crop engineers and administrators available in the country.

These are the chaps you gonna meet at a trail, fancy restaurant, or dropping their kids off at school or varsity.

They are not blood thirsty, greedy incompetent idiots.

    GRRRR

Over and out for a few weeks until the next stupid post raises my blood pressure
