I got a bit of a skrik last week. I received a e-toll bill of R36,000. It quickly jumped from the previous bill of R7,000. And my wife stopped travelling to Jhb two months ago..
Now I don't have a full statement, but I suspect that there are a few cars with my numberplate running around.

What would the best route be, to find a full statement in order to dispute the whole bill? Etoll centre, or online registration?

    Don't register, don't pay, don't get an e-tag.

    Just laugh at it.

e-Tolls would not have been needed if Government managed the country correctly. Don't blame SANRAL for incorporating e-Tolls to make things work.

Blame the government for forcing SANRAL's hand.

Yes. But its managed by engineers. Not politicians, hence the clean audits every year.

Speak to any engineer. Their deep passion is for engineering. Not making money.

Blessed is the man who, having nothing to say, abstains from giving us wordy evidence of the fact.

I've just been advised that on top of being sodomized brutally by Sanral, I will also be receiving a further rogering for a non-returned e-tag...

Sold the vehicle that had the e-tag and cancelled it online. (There is an option for cancelling it) Did not know I had to return the e-tag or face a R150 "fine" that will summarily be deducted from account.... I have also been held liable for a full month of tolls for the car after I had cancelled and after the car had no longer been in my possession or ownership...
