Default I need something you might throw away!

This is purely for asking for something you need. There is a thread about giving away.

Okay, to get the ball rolling:
If you have a centre roof console lying around that would be nice.
I want to play around so don't want to buy a new one.

Unhappy SJ410 '84 needs "heart transplant" ... will buy :-)

    Good day,
Taking a wild chance by placing our "need" here. We gave Plain Jane's Nissan 1400 engine a minor overhaul over the long weekend and got an unwelcome surprise - whoever worked on the engine before thought he was a genius by marking each piston (I've attached photos). On each piston where he'd marked them the metal had weakened and literally chipped. Those pistons are a freaking nightmare
What we're looking to BUY is either a 1400 second-hand engine or only a sub-assembly or (wishful thinking here) a 1500 and perhaps a 5-speed gearbox (while we busy with giving her a heart transplant we might as well give her that much craved extra gear).
If there's anybody who could give us a helping hand? Please PM me.
Thanks and have a fantastic weekend.

There is a reason for the action, that thread became flooded with wants and it lost its purpose.

I thought DVR had what you wanted.

I see nothing wrong on that piston. Here in Africa there is more than 80 000km still left on that piston. Don't waste it.

Oh, this is the "want" thread. I want more time. Everybody here has got time for Africa but nobody can give me some.

Everywhere is close when you own a 4x4 - it's just about that fuel cost...

Harry, glo my, daai pistons is terug in Jane (skoon gemaak, nuwe ringe, ge-olie dat dit blink! - sy het 'n hart van 'n Cheetah ;-) Ons ry maar net baie suutjies. Ons vat nou net nie meer kanse met haar nie en 4x4 ritte is 'n ding van die verlede tot sy "gefix" is.
