Well, if he parked right next to the wall, his passengers won't be able to get out.

People are just selfish on the roads generally...

Parking like that is only the tip of the iceberg unfortunately....

Many moons ago , I worked in Motorsport...

We got to a track the one day and someone parked one of the opposing teams vehicles in.

They went and got out the go jacks, rolled it away... A long long way away... In the back of the trailer area... Where it got properly parked in

    Bingo,

Or perhaps he has stuff in the boot and needs to load something long into the back seats, maybe a nice 50' flatscreen tv, maybe they require wheelchair access for a passenger and parking any other way would not ensure there is enough space to assist his passenger, and as it is a passenger maybe he has no disc to park in a disabled bay, maybe you don't know the story, maybe he has a valid reason, maybe maybe maybe

    maybe

    maybe

maybe you should concern yourself with something other than peoples parking habits

Its like at the Bloem Vryfees.4 of us parked on a kerb with a red line behind us meaning no parking as it was a narrow throughway to the already full parking.Needless to say when we returned guys had stopped in the exit/entrance,behind all 4 of us on the red line.

I remember many moons ago, one of our UCT residence sub-wardens got parked in by an old Mini

So we got as many hands together and lifted the mini and parked it on top the Memorial Stone outside the residence. The car was still there four days later...

The person could be severly obese and needs the space to climb out
Or maybe they handicapped and some juppy in a Jeep parked on the disabled parking so they had to park like this

This is not so bad. Reminds me of the time I stopped at a small shopping centre on my way home after my duty shift as a Police reservist. Still in uniform, but off duty so no real authority to do anything.

I noticed an old Mercedes double parked, with the driver still in the vehicle. I approached and politely asked why he was parked there and if he could please move. He answered that his wife is disabled and both disabled bays had vehicles parked in them. I apologised and moved on to the disabled bays where I found cars of able body drivers. When confronted they said they were just popping in few a few minutes. I tried to explain that the disabled vehicle was not able to park because of them, and they acted as if that was not important, they had every right to park there and had no respect for the uniform (or the police in general), with comments like why are you harassing us instead of catching the criminals. To say I was angry is an understatement! Of course, being off duty I was not able to take any action against them, and they would have been long gone before any on duty policemen could get there.

The worst part is that almost all the time these bays are blocked by able bodied driver's doing the same thing. It is not just at this one place either. It seems the general attitude of people these days is that they are more important than anyone else, and thus can do whatever they want to.

Sorry, got a bit carried away!
