I have a dual battery system so i can connect secondary battery but still no go even with a battery booster.
The car starts sometimes like nothings wrong and certain times with in a minute or minutes, i usually move the shifter from Park to Neutral and had some luck here but not always.
Has anyone successfully figured this one out?

    Thank you in Advance
I am assuming it doesn't swing when it doesn't want to start?

Remove both battery clamps and clean the inside of the clamps and the battery poles thoroughly..

FL2s and Evoques eat batteries for breakfast.... especially if your commute is short.

If you're stuck somewhere, and you need it to start, very often this can be done by disconnecting the terminals, give it 10 minutes, connect and start quickly.

Hi all apologies i didnt see the other posts but the battery eating issues you are spot on, but i have a dual battery system 108ah Lithium it should be enough punch to get her to swing but alas i dont think this is the issue here.
I will remove terminals clean and replace to make sure all is good, it is Swambos car so cant afford to have her getting stuck.

Thank you all for your advice

Diagnostic will pick up if it is the steering lock, change if it is there were a few serious accidents in uk as steering lock locked when driving after been found faulty.

There is apparently a way to deactivate the steering lock via a diagnostics tool...it wasn't very expensive, so I chose to replace...it is a major pain to remove the current one as they are fitted with once of use bolts and space is tight.

My 2012 also had the click-and-nothing symptom.

I had it at an indy who disabled the steering lock but this didnít fix the problem.

At my previous service at Centurion Transmissions and Services Centre they replaced the starter and no problems since then.

This morning same click click pulled steering to right and started, it seems this the only way it will start if it clicks i will try and work on steering lock first and see what happens from there.

    Thanks guys
