    Default Accomodatio in Bloemfontein

I have to be in Bloemfontein for Kovsies winter school, sleeping there July 14,15 &16. Will be 4 of us. Now I can drag the caravan there, but winter is maybe not the best time to explore Bloem in a caravan. What nice, quirky places would you suggest for us to stay at?

That the one next to the highway as you come in, on the left?

Edit: Sorry, drove past it from Kovsies to Longhorn steakhouse. On the right from Kovsies?

Always stay at Franklin guesthouse. Owner (Gustav) is a walking encyclopedia on trips to Bots. Not quirky but central with great views, food and owners.

We stayed at Reyneke Caravan Park on Tuesday night on our way back from Namibia. Had own ablutions with washup. Spotlessly clean and plenty of hot water.
Even better the price was R160 for the 2 of us, pensioners rate.
The park is 3,5km along the N8 just off the N1 - Makro turnoff

Ah, Reyneke Park Caravan Park! Such fond memories of the place. I remember clearly, as a young paramedic, going there to help a gentleman that got stabbed in the abdomen and robbed. Never went back there after that although it seems like a nice enough place!

We felt quite secure at Reyneke Caravan park. The were quite a few other caravans staying over also.
