    Default whisky lovers...

I see that Checkers has some very good prices on for good whiskys (as well as rubbish ones like Johnny Walker etc if that interests you) for world whisky day - this weekend only.

seems only a few prices are advertised, but worth a look!

IFS is like a swambo, soft, sexy and expensive!

    excellent, thanks.
Maybe I can get swambo permission to buy a couple of malts.

Johnnie black ain't a bad blend for the price is it? I always thought it was a decent blend.

    get the black bottle rather....

    or Bains... both are cheaper

but I see a bottle of Glenfiddich is R100 more. Best R100 you'll ever spend... The Chivas for the same price (R269) is worlds better than Johnny black too!!!

Ah, true. R100 more for a much better whisky.
Black Bottle! I've had it before but never bought a bottle. Thanks, i'll pick up one.
I bought a Glen Grant Majors reserve last week - cheapest single malt on the market. I have been enjoying it quite a lot - especially for the price!

Better not let the war department find out about this otherwise no more checkers

Believe it or not I walked in to a little plaas Liquor town just before Sun City last week and this guy had the best selection of whiskey I have seen for a long time including Talisker 10 @ R600/ bottle.

I dont like black bottle, dont like the smokey taste. (just my preference).

See they got JW Gold for R499 - thats basically at under cost. (cost is +/- R490 excl)
Normal retail price is about R650.
