Default Mitsubishi Motors East London - The Adventure Begins Event

    Hi to all Mitsubishi enthusiasts!

As a valued member of our Mitsubishi Motors family, we would like to offer you and your families an exciting opportunity to discover the full capabilities of your 4X4. The motto of Mitsubishi Motors has changed from “Spirited Cars for Spirited People” to “The Adventure Begins” we are therefore putting together regular day and weekend get-aways that afford you and us the opportunity to get together with fellow Mitsubishi owners and their families to really experience “adventure".

We are busy planning a weekend away incorporating a day trip to “Brakkeduine” situated on the other side of Humansdorp. This venue is geared not for off-road bundu-bashing, but rather exciting alternatives to what we have locally – sand and dune driving!

Brakkeduine is basically a 15-kilometer backyard sandbox for grown-ups who like to play with their cars. While it’s about as much fun as you can have in sand, it’s by no means easy, especially on hot summer days when the sand is soft and unforgiving. Not to worry though, we are taking along our local 4X4 accredited trainer and Mitsubishi “Spirit of Africa” official Ralph Clark who is well equipped with recovery gear and hints on successful sand driving.

Although we have not yet finalized the preparations, we were considering the weekend of 23/24 August. Our initial plan is to leave on Friday around lunch in order to arrive at our hotel / accommodation before nightfall. It is not a prerequisite, but we were considering staying at the Cape St Francis Holiday Resort.

The dune experience will be for Saturday. To cater for those of us who would to prefer not to stay over, but rather drive through, we will gather at approximately 9 am at the Engen Garage in Humansorp for a short drive in convoy to Brakkeduine. According to Ralph, we will spend the best part of the day there ending at approximately 3pm. After the dune driving, the rest of your weekend is at your leisure – I am sure most of the ladies would like to spend Sunday shopping around PE!

Approximate costs to yourselves will be:

    - Fuel
    - Trail fees of R200 per vehicle
    - Accommodation if required

We will cover the costs of providing:

    - Trail guide
    - Lunch on Saturday
    - Refreshments

I personally have attended a sand dune driving session at Brakkeduine before and believe that it is an absolute must for anyone who owns a capable 4X4. The experience is exhilarating as well as challenging and I am sure that all who attend will remember this experience for many years to come.

If you would like further information or would like to secure a booking, please reply by e-mail or give me a call. We would like to have an indicated idea of numbers, so prompt response would be greatly appreciated. In order to successfully RSVP, please include your vehicle type, registration and the number of adults and children (with ages) who will be participating.

Ralph Clark our own Mitsubishi trainer has also invited us to take part in a trail on Sunday the 24th. The trail is near Colchester this side of P.E. and is therefore on the way back from Brakkeduine and P.E. This trail is what is used for Mitsubishi Explorer training in P.E. and I believe it to be very exciting with an excellent mix of variations in mud, rock and steep climbs. This trail is optional and details will be given according to the response given by you the customers.

If you have a fellow Mitsubishi owner as a friend who may not have received this, please forward it on to him or her and copy me please.

Bookings are limited and will be reserved on a first come first serve basis, so please do not delay.

    Kind regards,

    Ryan Oliver
