    CoenraadB...

Go for the Scott, the Shimano Alivio groupset is better than the Altus components.

Gister aan die order ingesit. Miskien het ek hom die Vrydag.

Sommer onmiddelik vir my en my seun ingeskryf vir 'n 10km MTB funride die naweek in Somerset Wes.

Daar het so 80 mense weggesring.

Groot was my verbasing toe ons die uitslag kry! Mini-Me eerste in ouderdom en 9de overall 5de man, Ek 10de! ons was net 7 minute agter wenner en tussen ons en 2de plek was 3 minute.

    Dit BAIE geniet!

Just 1 little bit of advice Coenraad, now that the cycling bug got you: Under NO circumstances log in to The Hub SA. There simply is not enough time in the day to hang out there and here on the 4x4 Forum as well, and that means you will have to cut working or sleeping time (4x4 and cycling time cannot be cut)

So Less than 3 months after I started and must say I am starting to like MTB more and more!

I have done approx 200km - 90 of these the last 4 weeks...
We have completed 2 x10 km races in the Nissan Trailseeker Series
    1st - we did in 55min came 9th and 10th (60 riders)
    2nd - we did in 34 min came 3rd and 4th (55 riders)
These put us at 1 and 2 in the series!

Yesterday we took is up to a 15km in Die Burger MTB. We lost 5 min after my son got a full blast of mud in the face tossed up by another rider and took a tumble. Took all my convincing to get him back on the bike to finish the race. at last after a wash from the drinks bottle we went out again.

We finished in just over 50min. AND in the first 100 of more than 650 riders!

I felt like i could have done it faster or could have done the 30km but my goal is to help my son train. He will probably never be in the top of his age, but to be able to say that the 2 of us have something in the open air to do together that is first prize for me!
