    Default Mabua - Water situation

    Hi,

I am traveling to Mabua from 25 March to 6 April does anyone know what the water situation is at the moment?

Can't comment on the moment, but you find water a Mpaya #1, eventually at Mabua #2 and for sure at the old ranger's camp.

From past experience, it is "good manners" to see if anyone is in residence in the campsites who do have water and to ask them if they mind if you pop in to use the water in their campsite. There is nothing worse than booking a campsite unknowingly having water and then to have a queue of vehicles behind you with rowdy guys every afternoon all wanting a shower, families strolling through to show their children the squirrels burrowing there, or people wanting to wash their dishes, while you are trying to enjoy the view/peace/tranquillity or even wanting to have a shower yourself! They even use the loo and use your loo paper if you've put any in there! I've always been self-sufficient when going to CKGR/Mabua (that's what it's all about) and have never encroached on other people's space. If you do book those sites, lucky you but be prepared! Just my view. Have a fantastic trip, Michael!

Was in Mabua 2 days ago.
No water at the Old Rangers camp. Had a shower at Mpaya#1. Didnt check Lesho camp site but there used to be water there.

Just returned from a great trip to KTP and Mabua.
Water at Mpaya 1, but did not want to shower there with the lion lying behind

Showers at the camp near Mabua gate were pretty good instead.
Lesho 02 had shower facilities but you have to bring your own water.
