Default Baviaans Kloof in VW Tiguan

    Hi gents

Can you please advice if it is possible and wise to drive the Baviaanskloof in a VW Tiguan.

Please note that I am asking this question on behalf of some else. I have no knowledge of the Tiguan's capabilities.

    Regards

    We have the TDi 4motion.

It is completely capable doing the Baviaans. What I do not know is the allowed wading depth. For the Baviaans I would say it should be at least 400mm

From which side would they be coming? 4x2 is good enough entering from the Patensie side but from the Willowmore side they will need the LR at one particular place. Regarding the wading depth it all depends on the flow of the river. The last time (April month) there was water at every water crossing but nothing to worry about.

Did the road deteriorate a lot over the last 7-8 years? Last time I was there a platkar could easily do it. Brother did it in his Bantam.
