Default Disco 1 300tdi Aircon Belt probleme

    Yep
On my D1 300 tdi snapped an aircon belt and it cut the thin pipe going to the expansion tank
You must must must must must must must must must must have a monitoring system fitted which includes water level
Otherwise it will drain your pockets as well very fast

They typically break because one of the two idler pulleys is seized or busy seizing so belt gets hot and boom

Yip, thats the same pipe that was cut on mine... Really missing my poor old landy now. Did you fit the Madman system or let someone else fit it?

    I did it
    Very easy
Has been in now for many years and saved me on many occasions
Another place to watch on leaks is the fat pipe from the top of the radiator to the block as it goes over the top of the fanbelt pulley

You can do the madman in stages so water level first
    Did I say first
Then do the rest as you get money
You can disable the features till you connect them

I left it at my uncle's workshop in Rayton. Quite knowledgeable - just usually takes forever..
