Quick update, I'll do a writeup after I get the car back.

I ended up going to Seal centre in hermanstad PTA, and seemingly found the correct seal. It is being fitted today.

    Update:

The seal worked, the rack is back in the car and after day one, no visible leak.

An now for the next domino in my seemingly never-ending list of posts

the week before I took my car in, we were at Hennops. when starting the GV the TC Off light shines...after a bit of fiddling it went off again, not to return(I think...) now every time I start the car the TC off light shines until I go over 30 km/h when tc is forcibly turned on by the car.

I have tried playing around with the TC button in all states of the transfer case (holding down Brake and clutch):
4H: it responds with Tc can only be switched off in 4HL
4HL: holding the button for 5+ second nothing happens
    4LL: same as 4HL

Is this a sign of my TC also needing a look at, or is there some combination of buttons I can press to fix this. I would hate to go to a off road day and the tc to not work.

Have your battery checked. The TC light coming on with no other explanation is usually as a result of low battery voltage.

It worked, thanks! Hopefully now I can start with more modifications, in stead of repairs!

has anyone had to replace or fix their sliding pins on their GV? and can anyone recommend a place in cape town (or surrounds) that could help me with that. these guys have tried to source some, but it seems to be a mission for them to find any.

    thanks!
you can try Goldwagen - the partnumber is Surebrake T2886 for the front calipers - 2 - 3 weeks delivery as they need to order from HQ

    Morning Gents

We have encountered a problem with our 2009 2.4.
On our way to PE, from Vrystaat, towing a Sherpa Tiny rough rider, the Suzi overheated.

Towed to PE on tow truck. We dont know anyone in PE that we can trust to assess and/or repair the Suzi.
I suspect the engine block will at the least need skimming. The Suzuki dealers already said they not interested in repair.

I will appreciate some advice and direction on where to take the Suzi in PE.

    Have a good one.

    Nico
