The headlights were scratched clean with steelwool by the car wash to get rid of all the bugs,,,I only noticed that a couple of days later so I had no proof to blame it on them,,,so I just suck it up and restored it myself,,,,1 sheet 1200grid sandpaper (cost R8) and soap water 20minutes off sanding it down till all the deep scratches were removed,, applied super fine grit polish 200g (cost R250) obtained from your local automotive paint supplier use a good quality car polisher five minutes till the lenses are clear.

Autosol metal polish is very cheap and restores headlights brilliantly

Meguirs scratchX also works well. I use it followed by regular but good quality car polish.

Interesting tip: the top shock nut is the same size as the standard wheel nuts and you can use your wheel spanner to tighten it and ensure that your front shock absorber are properly seated.

Ok so Ironman suspension kit now has 3035 kilometers on the clock. So far so good. No rattles or wheel alignment issues with the 31" tyres. Clearance is greatly improved. I will update with some pics here:

Suzie newbie here. Please help. I bought a 2010 GV 2.4 manual a few weeks back from a Nissan dealer.
There is an intermittent knock- sometimes in 1st or 2nd when accelerating, sometimes when braking at slower speed, sometimes on some slow twisties (Kloof Gorge).
One thing I'm sure of at least is that it's not in the doors or panels as all came off and I have plakked Sondor foam inside.
Nissan (to cut a long story shortish) have: taken out the propshaft and had it checked. 110%, dropped supsension arms, tightened bushes at the rear. 100%.
Before I bought the car it had the CV joints sorted apparently.
Nissan workshop manager reports that his DP, ex- Suzuki DP- said because of the moving link (Nissans are fixed) a knock is not abnormal.
    Hmmm......
Before I take it elsewhere for an opinion, any advice?
    Thanks in advance.
PS: GV drives fine otherwise. Not really a petrolhead but I love this car. Chose it thanks to this forum.
PPS: have a spare Dastek Unichip from my Honda which was fitted by Jeff at Tuneserve.
Anybody have one fitted on their GV?

Sounds like a loose mounting on the gearbox or it could be you stabilizer bushes.

    Thanks Samaya
Nissan workshop ou says those are 2 things he checked. Will take it to Suzuki Pinetown and drive with someone there (they apparently drove it and didn't hear a knock).
