Good on yer, Jakes. At some or other time every one who sticks his neck out will bite off more than he can chew. It takes guts to admit this on a public forum, and that's a big point in your favour. Good luck in the re-build process, we'll be in touch...

Good on you, Jakes. I am new to Landies, but you may well get me scratching on your door for help sooner or later.

My kar staan ook by Jakes, 'n Freelander 2.

Just maybe to clarify for those who have never been to Jakes workshop.
Rudi was a mechanic working for Jakes. I believe it was Mathew and Rudi the mechanics who worked for Jakes. Not much happens in a workshop this size that the other would not know about.
I have a lot of sympathy for Jakes but would dearly like a few answers so that I can rectify any problems that most probably still exist on my vehicle.

    Hi Jakes,

Ek sal verseker in kontak bly.

Soek net antwoorde

Unfortunately I also seem to have been charged for work that was never done.
Without going into details it would take a lot to convince me that the staff were not aware what was going on as I discussed the jobs with them at the time. Admittedly they did look confused and could have been protecting their jobs.
I really like Jakes but putting personalities aside just saying you will put things right does not make it so. A lot of us have been down and it takes a lot to get back up and on your feet again but you have to correct mistakes before you can move on.
I have no interest in trying to get my money back but just need to know what was and was not done to my vehicle.
Jakes has a wealth of knowledge about landrovers and is an incredibly helpful person and it would be a shame to lose this.

/Very/ interested to hear about what this blatant sabotage is, as my family has been jumping through hoops and lied to at every stage of dealing with you, Jakes :/
