    Question New bull-bar?

So I picked up my new bull-bar from the IncredibleBob today!!!. It has been standing for a while and needed some luvin. Here is what I have already done.

    1. Chopped off all of the unnecessary bits.
    2. Chopped off the ends of the lower tier, It was a bit rusty.
    3. Figured out where to put the numberplate & Lights...
    4. Built a pair of mounting brackets from some 5mm angle iron I found lying around at my dad's place.

Here is what still needs to happen.

    1. I need to find the highest tensile nuts & bolts I can find, any recommendations?
    2. Sandblasting will be done during the week.
    3. Now the biggie. Paint, What kind? I'll keep it the original gunmetal grey.
    4. Then lastly some 50mm end caps in black, where can I find these?

Oh and I know that with no pictures it did not happen, so here is the original bull-bar as I got it...

Have you considered powder-coating? I think it might be more durable than paint and thus look better for longer.

I'm considering this, but I have no idea who will be able to do this or how much it would cost?

    )
I think it will be cheaper than paint. and last allot longer.
Usually the place that does sand blasting can do powder coating as well or just ask them, they'll direct you to who's doing it.

    Worth it!

Price is in, nearly R700 for sandblasting and undercoat. Sounds a bit steep? Anyone know of a reputable sandblaster in Centurion maybe?

Try NPA Powder Coaters in Silverton. They did my Isuzu's nudge-bar for R250. Sandblasted and powdercoated in silver.

Ok. Spoke to the guys at NPA, they quoted me R650 for sandblasting and powder coating. Sounded a lot better.

So I get on the phone to tell my dad that I need to come pick up the bull bar, and we have this conversation.

Me; Dad I need to come pick up the BB
    Dad; Why?
Me; Need to take it to these guys who is going to sandblast and powdercoat it.
Dad; But it is already done.
    Me; Huh?!?
    Dad; had it done yesterday.
    Me; What did it cost?
Dad; Dont worry about it. But you can only pick it up the weekend after next because we(Him & Mom) aren't here this weekend.
Me; Can you send me a picture?
    Dad; Nah wait and see!

So I owe the old man a couple of Guiness, but I'm very curious to see what it looks like now and I will have to wait a week and a half!!!

    Default It's done.... Almost

    Here are some picks

All that is left is the end caps. Btw, the inside diameter of the pipes are 50mm I bought 50mm end caps and they are way too small, I checked and the manufacturer measures the end caps on total diameter

Anyway at least now I know, after end caps time for spots
