At least it's not as bad as your daughter watching an old (should be dead) fŕaaaart purposfully driving into your 322 because he hates people in large SUVs.

Most of that can polish out. After a respray

Quite easy to get at, remove grab handle and sun visor. Pull down the headliner just enough to get to the tube. Tube simply pushes onto the sunroof.

Do yourself a favour and just clean them periodically. If they are not blocked easy way to clean is just a bottle of warm water with some degreaser, pour down each drain and Bob's your uncle.

Don't use compressed air to clean out the tubes, if you are doing it from the top of the sunroof. This can cause the tubes to be blown off the drain nipples of the sunroof. Rather use some weed eater cord and gently feed it down.

Will save you a lot of grief, if they are blocked water can run down the back of the dash and cause havoc with the electricals. Attachment 551091
I learnt this lesson the hard way with another vehicle, compressed air down a blocked rear windscreen washer pipe, the pipe was blown off a connector in the roof lining, what a pita to reconnect that one.

Replaced all spark plugs but still got OBD2 codes P0316 and P0307. Then replaced piston #7's ignition coil pack. Running smooth again.

Took her for a drive to work this morning and noticed that she never really got to temp. Thats after about 30km of travelling at about 80-100km/h.

It was pretty cold between 0 and 2 degrees, but surely the thermostat should allow the engine to get up to temp a bit quicker than that?

I did ask my indie about it a while ago after a trip to Dullstroom in a very cold storm where she also battled to keep temp even at 120km/h. He recons its normal owing to the size of the radiator, but I am not convinced.

On the way home with outside temps being about 18-22 degrees, she was up to temp in the first 2km.

Also noticed that the heater only really works on the drivers side, passenger side stays cold. And the heater doesn't really get that hot unless you start using her a bit harder, holding gears higher revs etc.

Anyone else have this issue or should I start looking for a new thermostat? Any other ideas.

She is a 2006 4.4 v8, the Jag v8 not the BMW one.

I would start with the thermostat.

Our MB200K and the FL2 had the thermostat fail, and was only noticed in winter. Both cars took some time to get some heat into the system....had to drive hard and still took time .Replace the thermostat.

Thanks, ordered a thermostat today from Dover, will fit as soon as it arrives.

Even if it is not the thermostat why risk the whole engine for something that cost a few 100 bucks. Engine has just ticked over 240k km so new thermostat is due anyway.

Replaced the thermostat, running like a beauty again, with fully functioning heater.

No, I had the resonator(?) & centre silencer replaced with straight pipes.

It does tend to cause small children and dogs to run away scared

Gents, if the engine has been working hard, is it normal for the non-aircon air to be hot?

hmmm, maybe they replaced the filter incorrectly during the service?

The next day we went off-road and the engine was working hard, but the fan was blowing hot air even though it was freezing cold outside.

Honestly cannot remember clearly but if I vaguely recall the L322 pollen filter is in the center rear of the engine bay just below the windscreen, check to see if they 1. closed the cover correctly, 2 - inserted all the rubber seals that run from the left to the right of the panel, let me see if I can find some pics of mine..
