As far as I know 18" will fit on the non supercharged models. The big brembo brakes on the SC models only allow for minimum 19".

Should be able to fit Disco 3 18" rims.

    Hi All

did a trip to PMB last week, where Mike (Mike Mechanics) and myself were modifying a Vespa PX125 cylinder for my Scooter in Switzerland. After a scorching 38.5 Degs in Pretoria on Monday last week, I drove down on Tuesday morning. After some 200km of driving around PMB/Wartburg was on my way back to PT on Wednesday.

In Harrismith I had to fill up for the first time, as I would not have made it to Villiers.

Fuel consumption was 9.1lt and the rig was performing faultless. Now sitting at 300'000km.

    Very neat Andre...

Do you have BREMBO brake callipers up front (standard for the 4.2SC) If so what did you do to get the 18's to fit

Nope. Ended up that I bought a 4.4 on the auction even though it was promoted as a 4.2. So the 18"s just slipped on.....

Noticed my sunroof wasn't opening all the way and wasn't closing with the one touch like it should.

Turn out when it went in to have the hail damage fixed, the panel beaters disconnected the battery and it lost its preset positions.

Quite a simple fix, hold in the tilt button for about 20sec until motor moves slightly. Then all the way back and one touch forward.

Also tightened the rear tailgate as it was rattling a lot. Much better now, back to driving in silence.

    Hi Benson

you have the "BMW" RR with the 4.4 engine. This has the same compressor as the Disco2. I do have repair kits for that unit. If the electric motor runs, all that is needed is the replacement of the piston ring.

    Let me know

    kind regards

Currently roaming around in the Drakensberg. Left Pretoria last Saturday and drove down to Winterton. Fuel consumption a meagre 8.9lt/100km.

    that would be great.v
    Simptoms are as follows.

    Pump seems to be overheating.
She gets everything up. But 10 minutes later. The nose dives and that's it. She keeps the back up.

    It never ends it seems..

Parked it at work this morning, and heard a loud hissing sound from the right front wheel. she's as low as she can go, so I can't see anything, but I presume then the shock is leaking air? and as such the pump is overheating to keep it up?

Could it be something else apart from the shock?

If you are very lucky could be a damaged pipe or loose fitting. If the sound came from the drivers side wheel. The valve block sits just inside the rear of the wheel well. Could be a leaking valve block.

Quite possible the bags had never been replaced. They seem to last about 10 years. Replace both front ones as the second one (if bags) will go soon as well. If the shocks are still good then you can just replace the bags.

The right front bag is always the first to go.

This is what I paid for the 2 front airbags (just the bags - no shocks) from LR in October..

Still have them sitting on my shelf waiting to be changed..
